CCFC’s season is now over with a creditable 2-2 draw at promoted Norwich City confirming that Andy Thorn’s Sky Blue team will take on the 2011-12 Championship season (as the longest serving tenant) with much more optimism than two months ago. CCFPA’s season continues with our next spectacular – the 2011 Golf Day at Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club on Thursday 9th June next.

We have already signed up a star studded list of former players ready to take on Kevin Gallacher’s 2010 tournament crown including:-  Bob Allen; Andy Blair; Jeff Blockley; Paul Culpin; Ron Farmer; Ian Goodwin; Micky Gynn; Jimmy Holmes; Tommy Hutchison; Dennis Mortimer; Steve Ogrizovic; Trevor Peake; David Phillips; Nick Pickering; Kevan Smith; Colin Stein; Kirk Stephens; Ian Wallace; Bob Wesson and Peter Wyer (with more to come).

Each former player will be placed with every team of three players entered. There are still a few vacancies for teams (as well as sponsoring opportunities). Why not join us in a fun day out and pit your driving, putting and reminiscing skills against a CCFC star of the past?

There are still a few places left for teams to enter and share the day (including a 3 course evening meal and a number of prizes).  If you want to enter a team into the tournament (at £240 for a team of 3) an application form is available for you to print off (click on our special ‘Golf Day 2011’  tab above) or you can get one from committee member Frank Pritchard (frank.pritchard1@ntlworld.com) or on 07815899224.
