Members News: Reminder- See ‘Boys Of 87’ Quintet At Warwick On Thursday!
The poster (right) is self explanatory. Just to remind you – CCFPA’s new chairman Billy Bell has assembled a quintet of 1980’s Sky Blues stars, all heroes of that 1987 Wembley F.A.Cup Final win over Spurs in Cov in a couple of days time. Leamington & Warwick CCFC Supporters Club are hosting the event on Thursday 3rd October at the Nelson Club in Warwick.
Club legends, one and all, Billy will be chatting in turn and ensemble to popular Sky Blues of that era Dave Bennett, Steve Ogrizovic, Micky Gynn, Lloyd McGrath, and David Phillips. All are fans favourites – ‘Benno’ is an Association committee member, ‘Oggy’ still attend pretty well all Sky Blues games as a match-day commentator for BBC CWR, ‘Gynny’ is usually at Sky Blues home games, David has been a star of the Association’s Golf Day in recent years and Lloyd is popular host at the Hawks Mill Sports and Social Club locally.
You can be sure all will have plenty to say at the gig on Thursday night and Billy will keep everyone in order (probably)! There is a raffle and chance for selfies.
