Sky Blue Memories – 1973: Army Sergeant Gets Players In Shape For New Season

Pre-season training can be quite gruelling and especially on a hot summer’s day. It was made even worse in 1973 when Gordon Milne and Joe Mercer decided the squad needed some extra motivation. They had an Army Sergeant to put them through their paces. From the first team squad down to the youth lads everybody felt the pain.
