Committee Members News: Meet ‘Benno’ Pre-Match Tonight At Dhillons Sky Blue Fans Zone

Around now, prior to tonight’s Sky Blues game against Tottenham Hotspur you have a chance to meet Wembley 1987 F.A.Cup Final winner Dave Bennett. Our Association committee member will be at Dhillons Brewery outside the CBS Arena.

‘Benno’ will be turning up for a fans ‘meet and greet’ at the Fans Village and will need little encouragement to talk about his role in helping to take the ‘Boys of 87’ to the Twin Towers, scoring our first goal in that fantastic 3-2 extra-time win over tonight’s opponents! He will then be joining us in the stadium (k.o. 8pm) for the 3rd round Carabao Cup tussle with Premier League Tottenham (who might well feature our member, former young Sky Blue favourite James Maddison in their team)!

Remember amongst the several other CCFC former players present will be our special guest, who started out with the London club, diminutive striker Terry Gibson. Another CCFPA member and another one of the ‘Boys of 87’ who is bound to be watching (as part of the BBC CWR live match-day commentary team) will be Sky Blues legendary ‘keeper’ Steve Ogrizovic.

He, like all Sky Blues fans, will be hoping for another win against the team from White Hart Lane.
