FAC 25th Anniversary: CCFC Old Boys Select v Pottertons OBs Select

CCFPA can announce another event involving Coventry City former players commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Club’s wonderful achievement in winning the F.A.Cup in 1987. This time it invoves a Charity game (in aid of Acorns local childrens hospice) which will take place in Leamington on Sunday April 15th 2012.

The game will be between two teams of ‘old boys’ representing CCFC and Pottertons. The Coventry City side of former players is planned to include several members of that victorious 1987 squad including it is hoped Steve Ogrizovic; Brian Burrows; Trevor Peake; Dave Bennett; Micky Gynn; Dave Phillips and Cyrille Regis (all CCFPA members).  Also pencilled in to make an appearance on the CCFC teamsheet are Association members David Busst; Marcus Hall; Claus Jorgensen; John Williams; Paul Hall and Ray Woods. 

The game with Pottertons Old Boys Select will take place on Leamington FC’s New Windmill Ground (Harbury Lane Leamington). Kick off will be at 14:15 and admission will be £3 each. All proceeds will go Acorns. CCFPA encourages all readers to support this worthy cause and turn up for the game.
